West Coast Thermal focuses on Health and Safety
A strong health and safety ethos at West Coast Thermal.
Nothing is more important to West Coast Thermal than the health, safety and welfare of its employees and ensuring that visitors, contractors and the general public are not subjected to any hazards which may result from our activities.
In 2009 West Coast Thermal was awarded the RoSPA Silver Award for ‘occupational health and safety’ and Bronze for the ‘management of road risk’ (MoRR).
This endorses the dedication and hard work demonstrated by the entire workforce in actively achieving a positive safety culture and an excellent safety record.
There is a strong culture of on the job training with both Asbestos and Insulation staff undertaking regular refresher courses in fundamental safety courses such as working at height, PASMA mobile scaffold erection, MEWPS training, confined space training, harness training, abrasive wheels, manual handling …..
The directors are determined to push the company forward in terms of health & safety with plans in place to continually improve our procedures and best practices every year.
West Coast Thermal is also working towards ISO 9001 status which should be achieved in summer 2010.
We are proud of our health and safety record and the fact we were granted a three year Asbestos Licence.
