Apprentice Programme

West Coast Thermal aims to enrol new apprentices every year to add to our growing skilled workforce

An Apprenticeship refers to an on-the-job training program during which the candidate completes a framework of qualifications.

The Thermal Insulation Engineering Apprenticeship consists of on and off the job training over two to three years.

Learners wishing to complete an apprenticeship will work alongside experienced staff to gain job-specific skills.

West Coast Thermal is proud of their record of taking on local school leavers and providing them with excellent apprenticeships. Apprentices will become qualified Thermal Insulation Engineers (T.I.E.’s) following a 4 year course managed through the TICA scheme based at Darlington.

During the course of the apprenticeship the candidate will complete the following qualifications.

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Thermal Insulation Engineering
